My name is Jeff Haughy, owner and instructor of Heart Start CPR. My company holds approximately 300 classes per year, training approximately 4,000 students annually. I started Heart Start CPR in 2003 with one pack of CPR manikins and limited equipment. I had no idea it was going to develop into what it is today. In my opinion the key to my success has been customer service and pricing. I have yet to lose a client and my business has developed primarily by word of mouth.

The largest selling point for our clients is that all of the instructors for Heart Start CPR are firefighters and paramedics. This helps to teach our students by learning from first-hand experiences what they may actually see, hear, and feel if they were ever to have to use what they learn in one of our classes. Anyone can take a week long CPR instructor course, purchase the equipment and start teaching. Our team of professional firefighters and paramedics are what set Heart Start CPR apart from all other CPR instruction companies. All of us as instructors practice all skills covered in the course on a regular basis in our daily professions. I can honestly say I have probably performed CPR a few hundred times during my career as a firefighter- paramedic.
